Abcott Student Resources

Information Technology
Abcott Institute’s IT program is geared towards getting our students the skills needed to be successful in today’s Information Age.  From a complete novice, with no computer experience at all, we can transform the dedicated individual into someone that has the potential to be hired right out of school.

Unlike many other schools, we offer hands-on instruction from instructors with many years of actual experience in the fields that they teach.  Our instructors bring real-world knowledge to the classroom and give our students a unique opportunity to see what it is like out there from the instructor’s point of view.

Our Certified Instructors measure each student’s progress with industry accepted methods and provide feedback on a regular basis, allowing the student to modify their studies to reflect their training needs.

Students are encouraged to develop their skills through computer-based training materials provided with many of the courses offered.  As computers are the fundamental focus of our IT programs, it is important for a student to have complete access to computers for home-based training.

Classroom Student Competency Evaluation: Abcott Institute uses combinations of Oral, written, and computer-based testing (Using Certblaster software, Test Out Software, or others) pertaining to material covered in class via lecture, hands-on practice, video presentations, and guest speakers.

Technical Certification Competency Evaluations: Computer-based testing for certification is processed at a certified testing facility.
