Home Health Aides and Nursing Assistants help patients attain maximum functional independence while assisting them with their personal care and daily living tasks. Home Health Aides will be responsible for providing basic care to home bound patients while Nursing Assistants will work closely with residents in hospitals, long-term care facilities and adult day health centers. Both professions are very rewarding and in high demand!

Overview
Conducted jointly with our acclaimed CNA course, Abcott’s Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification Training is aimed at developing skillful and caring home health aides. Our course is designed to prepare you to function within the roles and responsibilities as required by the Federal Government for Home Health Aides serving Medicare patients. After completing our program, graduates will be prepared to take the required certification exam.

Whether desiring to meet Michigan Home Health Association (MHHA) certification requirements or continue on with more advanced education, Abcott prepares its students through classroom instruction, assisted tutoring and hands-on lab practice. Upon passing the MHHA certification exam, graduates earn the formal designation of Certified Home Health Aide.

Course Description
Abcott’s course is designed to prepare the student for entry-level positions in the health care field and instruction is presented in the basic sciences as it relates to the human body and health.
